About - East Polk County Democrats

Our Mission

The East Polk County Democrats serve to elect Democrats in eastern Polk County including Altoona, Bondurant, Elkhart, Runnells and Mitchellville, Iowa. We work in conjunction with the Polk County Democratic Party, and the other neighborhood organizations in the Greater Des Moines, Iowa metropolitan area to foster participation within the Iowa Democratic Party. Our purpose includes working to sustain and advance the principles of social justice, democracy, civil rights, civil liberties and a constitutional government.
